Layoff Guide is a small startup with one goal: nobody who loses a job should miss a benefit they're owed. Our concierge is free today, and we're building it to stay that way.
Why we started
AI is about to change a lot of jobs.
We're optimistic about AI. We're also realistic about it. Tools that write, code, and answer the phone are getting good quickly, and some of the jobs they touch won't come back in the same shape.
When that happens, the hard part isn't only finding the next job. It's the 60 days of paperwork in between - COBRA, unemployment, a severance deadline, an old 401(k) - landing on you during one of the worst weeks of your year.
Most people sort it out alone, on hold, with a dozen tabs open. We think that part is fixable.

A note from our founder
Hi, I'm Zach. I started Layoff Guide because losing a job shouldn't cost you money on top of the paycheck. The help exists - COBRA, unemployment, the protections built into severance agreements - but it's scattered across a dozen sites and written for lawyers.
We're early, and we'll get things wrong. When we do, tell us and we'll fix it. And if you or someone you know just got laid off, we'd love to help.
